This guide is for DaneTrades Cloud. Do not install the Local Copier EA, configure WebRequest or keep your own Windows VPS running for this connection.
Before you start
Have:
- the broker account number;
- the trading password;
- the exact MT5 broker server assigned to that account.
MT5 brokers often have several similarly named servers. Use the server assigned to the exact account.
Connect the account
- Open Trading Accounts.
- Select Add Account.
- Choose MT5.
- Enter the account number.
- Enter the trading password.
- Enter the exact broker server shown for that MT5 account.
- Add an optional nickname.
- Continue while DaneTrades discovers and verifies the account.
- Confirm the intended account when the selection step appears.
Enter the server name or host supplied for the account. Do not guess a different Live, Demo or similarly named server.
Verify the result
The account should appear in Trading Accounts. It can show Connecting while verification or symbol download is still in progress.
Wait until it shows Connected and its symbols are available before using it in a copier.
Common problems
Invalid login
Confirm the account number, trading password and exact MT5 server.
Investor or read-only password
A read-only password is not suitable for an account that must receive copied trade actions. Use the correct trading credential in the secure connection form.
Wrong broker server
Copy the exact server from the account's MT5 login details or broker information. Demo and Live servers are not interchangeable.
Account remains Connecting
Allow the current discovery, verification and symbol request to finish, then refresh Trading Accounts. Do not launch several connection attempts for the same account.
Symbols fail to load
The account is not ready for copier selection until the symbol catalogue is available. If loading repeatedly fails, continue through Support Assistant with the account selected.
Some symbols do not copy
MT5 brokers often use symbol suffixes, prefixes or alternative index names. Review Symbol Mapping before treating the account connection as faulty.
First test
- Create one copier.
- Confirm the source and receiver direction.
- Review Symbol Mapping.
- Use a small fixed lot or conservative multiplier.
- Place one simple test trade.
- Confirm the outcome in Trade activity.
When to continue to support
Continue when the exact MT5 server and credentials are confirmed but verification repeatedly fails, the account never becomes Connected or symbols cannot load.
Do not send your MT5 password in the conversation.
