Connect Telegram as a Signal Source

This guide is for DaneTrades Cloud Copier. It does not cover Local Copier install, EA, or device-slot workflows.

DaneTrades Cloud — web-managed copying for supported trading platforms. Telegram is a signal source only.

Telegram is a signal source, not a trading platform. It creates source accounts for selected channels or groups and cannot be used as a receiver trading account.

Before you start

  • Sign into Telegram on your phone or another device.
  • Join the channel or group that contains the signals.
  • Have access to the Telegram login code.
  • Have your Telegram two-step verification password if it is enabled.
  • Have one paid account slot available for each channel or group you intend to add.

Connect Telegram

  1. Open Trading Accounts.
  2. Select Add Account.
  3. Choose Telegram.
  4. Enter your phone number in full international format, for example +447700900123.
  5. Enter the code Telegram sends to your Telegram app.
  6. If asked, enter the Telegram two-step verification password.
  7. Wait while DaneTrades loads the channels and groups the account can read.
  8. Select one or more signal channels.
  9. Finish the connection.

Each selected channel or group becomes its own Telegram source account in the workspace and uses one paid account slot.

Where the code arrives

When you are already signed into Telegram elsewhere, the login code normally arrives as a Telegram message rather than an SMS.

No channels found

Confirm that the same Telegram identity has joined the signal channel or group and can read its messages. Then start one clean connection attempt.

Already added

A channel that already exists in the workspace cannot be selected again through the same connection flow.

Connection is still creating accounts

If channel-account creation has already started and the screen times out, do not immediately start the same Telegram login again. Refresh Trading Accounts after a short wait.

Create the copier

After the Telegram source account appears:

  1. Open Copiers.
  2. Select the Telegram channel as the source.
  3. Select a supported trading account as the receiver.
  4. Configure symbol mapping and conservative sizing.
  5. Check the first real provider messages and resulting Trade activity carefully before relying on the setup.

Common signal problems

Message not detected

Check the selected channel and the current parser configuration. Confirm that the message was posted after the source account was connected.

Parse failed

Use anonymised real provider examples to review keywords, clean-text rules and expected signal format. Never include login codes or session data.

Wrong symbol

Use copier Symbol Mapping first. Use Telegram aliases only where provider wording needs normalisation before mapping.

Multi-TP or entry-range behaviour differs

Confirm that the provider format is supported and review real examples before wider use. Platform-specific parsing quirks that are not represented in current code remain private support knowledge until verified.

Security

Never paste Telegram login codes, two-step verification passwords or session information into Support Assistant or a support ticket.

When to continue to support

Continue when:

  • a valid login repeatedly fails;
  • the connected account cannot list a channel it can read;
  • channel-account creation remains incomplete;
  • real messages are present but detection repeatedly fails after configuration review.

Select the Telegram source account or copier when starting the conversation.
