Deleting a DaneTrades account or copy link stops future DaneTrades routing. It does not close, modify or cancel positions and orders at the broker.
Before deleting anything
Check the broker accounts directly for:
- open positions;
- pending orders;
- trades that may still need manual management;
- other software or strategies using the same account.
Manage those broker-side items before deleting DaneTrades configuration when required.
Delete a copy link
Deleting a copy link:
- removes the source-to-receiver copier from normal DaneTrades views;
- disables its current configuration;
- stops new routing through that link;
- discards copy work that has not yet been sent;
- keeps the underlying source and receiver trading accounts unless they are deleted separately.
Deleting the link does not send any broker close, modify or cancel action.
Delete or pause?
Use Pause when you may want to resume the same copier later.
Use Delete when you want the copier relationship removed from the app and do not intend to restore it.
Delete a trading account
Deleting a trading account:
- removes it from normal DaneTrades account lists immediately;
- revokes its stored DaneTrades credentials immediately;
- stops new routing to or from that account;
- cancels incomplete DaneTrades connection requests for it;
- deletes every active copy link in the workspace that uses it as a source or receiver;
- removes account-specific stored performance data;
- updates paid account capacity where the billing workflow can do so.
Because associated copy links are also deleted, review every source and receiver relationship before confirming account deletion.
Deleting the account does not remove the broker account itself.
What happens to queued actions
DaneTrades discards actions that are still safely waiting before transmission when their account or copy link is deleted.
Deletion cannot recall an action that was already sent to a broker or platform. Check the broker account when timing matters.
What happens to Performance and Exposure
After account or copy-link deletion:
- deleted objects disappear from normal customer lists;
- account-specific closed-trade performance data is removed;
- combined Performance is rebuilt from the remaining listed accounts;
- open-position snapshots can be removed when the deleted relationship no longer has a current source link;
- Exposure and Statistics can change after the next read or refresh.
Billing after deleting an account
Deleting a connected account can reduce the number of accounts that need paid capacity. Open Billing afterward and confirm the paid quantity and next charge.
Do not assume account deletion has cancelled the subscription. Subscription cancellation remains a separate Billing action.
Short operational retention
The deleted account or copy link disappears from normal views immediately. Credentials are revoked immediately.
Limited operational evidence can remain for a short support and security window before permanent purge. The configured window is between 7 and 14 days and defaults to 7 days.
This short retention does not keep the deleted item active and does not allow execution workers to reuse its credentials.
There is no undo button
DaneTrades does not restore a deleted account or copy link from the customer app.
To use the account again, connect it again and create new copy links and symbol mappings as required.
When to continue to support
Continue to support when:
- the wrong item appears to have been deleted;
- an associated copier remains visible after refresh;
- the account or link still appears to route new actions after deletion;
- Billing does not reflect the remaining connected accounts;
- a deleted Telegram channel cannot be added again after the operation completes.
Provide the item name, platform, approximate deletion time and a safe Trade Activity reference where relevant. Never provide broker credentials.
