Troubleshooting

Symbol not found or wrong symbol traded

Both of these problems are usually symbol mapping problems. The receiver either does not recognize the symbol name at all, or it maps to a similar but wrong instrument.

Common signs

  • Logs show Symbol not found.
  • Only some symbols fail while others copy normally.
  • The receiver opens a trade on the wrong instrument.
  • The receiver uses suffixes or prefixes such as `EURUSDm` or a broker-specific commodity code.

How to fix it

  1. Open the affected connection. Go to Copiers and edit the connection that failed.
  2. Review Symbol Mapping. Compare the master symbol with the receiver symbol list instead of trusting an auto-match blindly.
  3. Correct the mapping one symbol at a time. This is especially important for gold, indices, and broker-specific variants.
  4. Save and retest with one tiny trade. Check the receiver symbol and the log outcome immediately after the test.

Examples of common mismatches

  • `GOLD` may need `XAUUSD`.
  • `US30` may need `DJ30` or another index code.
  • `NAS100` may need `USTEC`.
  • `EURUSD` may need a suffix such as `EURUSDm`.

If the symbol is still wrong

Send support: the master symbol, the receiver broker and platform, the current mapping you used, and a screenshot of the receiver symbol list if possible.
