OAuth Guide

Connect a cTrader account

cTrader uses a browser-based OAuth flow, so it behaves differently from the direct-login platforms. You start the connection in the app, complete authentication in the browser, then return so DaneTrades can finish loading the account.

Basic steps

  1. Open Trading Accounts.
  2. Click Add Account and select cTrader.
  3. Click Authenticate with cTrader.
  4. Complete the secure browser login and approval flow.
  5. Return to the app while DaneTrades loads the available cTrader account details.

Most common issues

  • Popup blockers or browser restrictions stop the auth window from opening.
  • The user signs into the wrong cTrader or broker identity.
  • The account is not fully approved before returning to the app.
  • Network or local-runtime issues delay the account load after approval.

How to verify

The account should appear in Trading Accounts. After that, create one small test copier and verify the result in Logs.
