Connect a Telegram account

Telegram uses a phone-number authentication flow. The main goals are to connect the correct Telegram identity, complete code verification successfully, and make sure the account you use is the same one that can access the relevant signal channels.

Basic steps

  1. Open Trading Accounts.
  2. Click Add Account and choose Telegram.
  3. Enter your phone number with the country code.
  4. Wait for the Telegram verification code.
  5. Enter the code and complete the connection flow.

Before you start

  • Make sure the device and account you are using can actually receive Telegram login codes.
  • If you have more than one Telegram identity, double-check that you are connecting the correct one.
  • Make sure that account has access to the channels or chats you intend to use.

Common issues

  • No verification code arrives quickly enough.
  • The wrong Telegram account gets connected.
  • The account connects, but it cannot access the signal source you intended to use.
