What the License page shows now
- The current access state, such as active, trial, expired, action needed, or no license.
- The current plan name or trial label.
- The renewal, trial-end, or expiry date when available.
- How many devices are currently using the license.
- Machines or environments currently linked to that access.
How device slots work
If you move from one local PC or Windows VPS to another, you may need to remove an older device from the License page to free a slot.
- Open License. Review the device list under the current workspace.
- Identify the old environment. Look at the machine label, device ID, last seen time, and whether it is in use.
- Remove the old device only when you are sure. This frees the slot for a replacement machine.
How this replaces the older activation-limit docs
Older Freshdesk docs treated every activation error as a separate article. In the current app, the most practical explanation is simpler: if there are no slots left, remove an old machine or contact support if the list does not match reality.
This also replaces older trial device/IP limit articles where the old behavior was tied more closely to legacy activation rules.
If one device shows an update available
The License page can show when an environment is running an older installer than the latest licensed version. If that appears, update the local app on that machine and then reopen License to confirm the version information has refreshed.
